Womp, womp, womp. 90% of the 4-part sales page for Dead Reckoning has been finished, but unfortunately, I underestimated how much time it was gonna take me to finish π
But I am suuuuuper proud of how it's all coming together so far!! So here's a couple of my favorite lines:
For e-comm founders:
"The most successful e-commerce founders are often trapped in operational tasks and simply donβt have the time to build the personal brand authority they know they need to reach the next big milestone in their business."
For service pros:
"The most successful service providers are often trapped in the content creation debt cycle where youβre spending all your energy feeding finicky algorithms while neglecting the one asset that could secure your future: your email list."
For local businesses:
.... this is the only page left that I need to write & design so TBD! π
Essentially, there are 3 different types of email offers. It all depends on what YOU need the most. They're all done-with-you offers where the level of 'YOU' needed is unique.
(One is a repurposing audio/video to writing, one is a strategy session, and one is a monthly roundup).
And it WILL be done next week!! Can't wait to show you!!!!
(I'm doing a 'done is better than perfect' first run of all the copy + design for Dead Reckoning. But once it's LIVE, I'll be refining the copy a looooot using the creative writing challenge belowππΌ)

The last 3 weeks we've covered a lot of groundwork for prepping your newsletter.
So now we're gonna dive into one of the most nuanced parts of it all: determining how you approach your content planning.
As with all forms of marketing, we gotta start with the end goal in mind and walk it back.
ππΌ WHY do you want an email newsletter? ππΌ
Is it so you can have a direct sales channel? So you can build deeper connections with your community? Or so you have a long-form piece of content you can repurpose into smaller bite-sized pieces?
It's okay to have multiple goals, but you need ONE main driving force because that's what determines the type of content you're going to share.
And while there are a couple other email-specific goals you can have, the three mentioned above are the ones I hear most from clients.
So let's say increasing sales is your #1 goal from email.
This means your emails should be an 80/20 mix. 80% sales emails and 20% connection (bc yes, you should ALWAYS be working on deepening your trust with your audience).
You'd do this by mapping out potential objections, hesitations, desires, and pain points and building an email around each angle.
If you want an example of some content ideas specific to YOU, reply to this email with 3 objections, hesitations, desires or pain points of your potential customer & I'll show ya how you can write an entire email from it (:
Next week, we'll take content a step further AND I'll share a free resource with you that's not publicly available. π€«

Your low-lift Creative Writing Challenge for the week:
This week is all about descriptive and sensory words. One of the EASIEST ways to stand out in a sea of GenAI copy is by evoking one (or a couple) of our five senses.
It's something you can add on during a proofread for a dash of personality to keep your reader interested.
Some examples from the book I'm reading, Tourist Season:
Instead of saying, 'I was relieved and then embarrassed,' Brynne wrote:
Relief is a flood that washes through my veins. It's followed quickly by a wave of embarrassment.
This makes it sooo much more visual. If you have an active imagination like me, you can literally SEE this represented in your mind.
Another example: Instead of saying 'It made me jealous,' she wrote:
Jealousy explodes through every cell of my body, incinerating my earlier fantasies into bitter ash.
Again, this is SUPER visual. And it makes things way more enjoyable for the reader.
NOW IT'S YOUR TURN <3
Pull up a page on your website or a recent social media post and see where you can add more visual and descriptive language into it. Don't overthink it! This is for practice!
Try to add in a different sense for each sentence (What did it look like? sound like? smell like? taste like? feel like? Where can you add a metaphor or simile? where can you add some personification?)
Stay tuned for the psychology behind doing this and how it helps you become a better writer. Coming to your inbox on Friday!!! π

π Currently reading... Tourist Season, still! It's almost 400 pages and I didn't have much time to read this past weekend with all my ~summertime socializing~.
πΆ Currently listening to...A Court This Cruel & Lovely - I originally read this in 2024, but my library has a crappy selection and I couldn't find anything better. PLUS I rated it 5 stars soo it's gotta be good [I'm awful at retaining what I read so I don't remember how it ends lol]
π‘ Currently recommending... Scheduling fully brain-off days. I've been feeling the stress bubbling up lately, so I ditched my phone, ditched my 'Sunday reset tasks' and just... enjoyed the last day of the weekend with my cozy habits and no notifications to distract me.
π Currently obsessing over... Brazilian Lemonde!! I made some for my bestie when she came to visit & she's now ALSO obsessed with this 'liquid gold' (her words). I do - 1 FULL lime + 1 cup of coconut water, blended + strained, then I shake in 1/4 cup of unsweetened condensed milk. Hydrating, refreshing AND 0g of sugar π€πΌ
That's it (:
I don't have anything profound to leave you with this week BUUUUUT I am taking on the challenge of the Summer of the Personal Brand inside the do-ers club, so you'll be seeing me way more on IG!!!
Would love any + all support because this is such a scary thing for me, but that's the whole point! I'm trying to get more comfortable with the uncomfortable.
For growth (:
Catch ya on the next wave,

Edition #154 September 1st, 2026 Hey, hi, hello ππΌ This is a safe place, so it only feels right to admit: I was feeling SO resistant to writing this email. Not because I don't WANT to (I do, I swear!), but because there are 1084 other things on my to-do list today. And I already skipped last week. And it's well after 5:35am (the usual time this lands in your inbox!). Since I'm "on vacation" (in quotes bc I'm visiting my sibs, but I still work while up here! just significantly shorter hours),...
Edition #153 August 18th, 2026 Hey, hi, hello ππΌ This week is looking like it's gonna be a killer one. Not only do I have 2 networking events back-to-back this week, but I also have a lot of market vendor prep work to do! You read that right, Reader!!! I'll be attending a couple markets this fall season for my new chainmaille jewelry brand, Medusa's Menace. What started out as a simple (time-consuming) hobby to keep my hands off my phone has now turned into a micro product-based business. And...
Hey, hi, hello! If you haven't read last week's Email Paradise (EP), you miiiiight be a lil out of the loop (go read it!!!!). Reminder of this week's prompt in case you haven't done it yet: Write bad copy. ON PURPOSE. Write down lines that bother you or sentence structures that SCREAM, "oh you plugged that into claude, didn't you?" Anything that makes you cringe because it's so bad. For example: 1. It's not just an eye cream; it's your holy grail to remove dark circles. 2. I tried the quick...
