Edition #147
July 7th, 2026
I've been yap-yap-yapping about Dead Reckoning the last two weeks and while I kinda, sorta wanna keep up the trend (bc the sales page is coming along so CUUUTE), I shall spare you π«‘
But only cuz next week the sales page will be officially live so I'll have a lot more to share with you then π
Instead, I wanna talk about something biz-adjacent. I've been dealing with a rather pressing health issue for the last 2 months.
And it's been beyond draining getting tossed from provider to provider, getting the wrong referrals, not being able to schedule out for weeks, and a bunch of other BS.
I don't often talk about life living with chronic pain, but it is a huge part of why I started my own business.
And likely where my core values stem from: ease, ethics, empathy, compassion, and community.
They're not just pretty words slapped on my (currently hidden π ) About Page.
I truly infuse them into EVERYthing I do.
Ease - because I know email marketing feels daunting to a lot of folks. βEthics - because we deserve to make fully informed spending decisions. βEmpathy - because everyone deserves to be understood. (emotional resonance) βCompassion - because I do my best to alleviate others' suffering, no matter how small. (the drive to help) βCommunity - because it takes a village to do... well, anything. And I strive to be a part of the village for my people.
Okay, cool. So, now your direction is nailed down. You found the intersection between what YOU wanna write about and what your READERS need to hear before they feel comfy spending $$ on ya.
(And if you haven't -- go back and spend 20 mins journaling about it! I promise it's way less daunting than it seems)
What's next?
Arguably, in my profesh opinion, is naming each section. From the newsletter name down to the microsections.
HOWEVER, I need you to know this is FULLY optional. You can come up with fun, quirky names for each bit or have one unique-to-you newsletter name (ex: Email Paradise) and general header names like I do.
I'm just extra & want mine to be cute π
Hell, you can even just write one entire email combining all the talking points and only call out specific sentences or lines with bold, italics, or underlining.
For me, having designated sections works better because I can bounce around and write what I feel more inspired by first and fill in the rest later.
Like right now, I'm writing this education piece before anything else!
Choosing how formal your structure is will determine how you approach your content planning. Which, you guessed it! Is next week's micro lesson (:

Your low-lift Creative Writing Challenge for the week:
Grab a magazine. If you don't have one hanging around, grab a book instead (fantasy or fiction works best). Read through and cut out words that make you pause. Or hold a meaning to you.
There's truly no rhyme or reason; you're just looking for 'fun' words that pop out to you. (If you're doing the book - pls don't cut lmao - just write the words down)
Spend about 20-30 minutes hunting down the words. Then, glue them to a piece of cardboard in any order that speaks to you!
Here's an example I started recently:
she's not finish yet (;
And if you did the book version, add it to a g-doc so you can challenge yourself to find a way to use the words in your upcoming content!
Same drill as before! I'll send a shorter email later this week to explain the psychology behind doing this and how it helps you become a better writer, so keep an eye out for that!!! π

π Currently reading... Tourist Season. It's the first of a new triology by Brynne Weaver and I am devouring this book. Read 97 pages while floating in the pool this weekend! Another darkly funny, slow burn, grumpy x grumpy enemies-to-lovers romance. So I adore it, obvs.
πΆ Currently listening to...The Atlas Six I'm over halfway through this dark academia mystery fantasy via audiobook and meh π€·πΌββοΈ Like: the full cast narrating. Unsure about: ... all of it lol. Can't tell if I'm missing important parts, if it's intentionally confusing, or if this book just isn't well written lolll.
π‘ Currently recommending... Writing down an "Imma do..." list instead of a To Do list. Not only did I get WAAAY more done this past weekend while using one, but I acts as a "To Done" list. AKA shows me that I was wayyyy more productive that I thought! Every small thing counts (like 'vacuum couch').
π Currently obsessing over... The egg bit cups I made last week! Froze half the batch and they're stilllll doing me well. Recipe:
12 eggs
1.5 cup cottage cheese
Chopped spinach
Spicing as you see fit (pepper, salt, garlic + onion for me)
Cut vegan sausage patty into 4's. Put one on the bottom of each muffin cup
Blend the first 2 'till creamy, fold in spinach, pour on top of sausage.
3 egg cups = ~21g of protein π (depending on how full each cup is)
Yipee! You made it to the end (:
If you're a nosey nelly like me, here's the order I wrote this edition of EP in:
Newsletter
Tickling
Creative
Intro
Conclusion
Which is why I'm such a huge advocate for structuring your newsletters!! My creativity ebbed & flowed through this entire edition and I followed it!
And that's what can make all the difference in being creative VS ghosting your list.
The newsletter education only has a couple weeks left. Once I finish that -- is there a specific area of emails you want me to focus on next??
Sales emails? Launch emails? Growing your list? Fixing your KPIs?? I'm all ears!! π
Catch ya on the next wave,
β
This email was written with my own brain. No GenAI was used to brainstorm, write, or edit this. βIf you enjoyed it, please let me know!! This is a labor of love for me & it truly means the world when you reply.

Edition #149 July 21st, 2026 Guess whaaaaat Reader?? Dead Reckoning is live π I'm BEYOOOONNND excited, but I gotta be real with ya: This is only the FIRST iteration. I plan to add more to the sales page once I get my brand photos (ππ) back from my photog I'm planning on renaming the offers. I didn't think I needed to originally, but they're a bit more different than I realized. The local businesses subpage isn't ready yet π«£ Nor is the streamlined Dubsado workflow π«£ LOOOOOKKK, I ran into some...
Hey, hi, hello! If you haven't read this week's Email Paradise (EP), you miiiiight be a lil out of the loop (go read it!!!!) but this is the fourth (!!!) edition of a bonus add-on where I share the psych behind the creative writing prompt shared earlier in the week. Reminder of this week's prompt in case you haven't done it yet: Pull up a page on your website or a recent social media post and see where you can add more visual and descriptive language into it. Don't overthink it! This is for...
Edition #148 July 14th, 2026 Womp, womp, womp. 90% of the 4-part sales page for Dead Reckoning has been finished, but unfortunately, I underestimated how much time it was gonna take me to finish π But I am suuuuuper proud of how it's all coming together so far!! So here's a couple of my favorite lines: For e-comm founders: "The most successful e-commerce founders are often trapped in operational tasks and simply donβt have the time to build the personal brand authority they know they need to...
