Guess whaaaaat Reader?? Dead Reckoning is live π I'm BEYOOOONNND excited, but I gotta be real with ya:
This is only the FIRST iteration. I plan to add more to the sales page once I get my brand photos (ππ) back from my photog
I'm planning on renaming the offers. I didn't think I needed to originally, but they're a bit more different than I realized.
The local businesses subpage isn't ready yet π«£
Nor is the streamlined Dubsado workflow π«£
LOOOOOKKK, I ran into some tech-related issues, and then my brain stopped, well brain-ing. And, I don't have aaaaas many local businesses on my list (yet!), so I wanted to have SOMETHING to show you now.
Pluuuuuus, my Dubsado refresh (by the lovely Chloe), won't be done until after the brand photos.
SO, the rest is coming!!! (But if you want/need the details sooner, you know I'll tell ya!! Alls ya gotta do is ask).
I'm beyond eager to support clients in these two new container options. And maybe that's you??
βFor service providers, the offer is essentially my onboarding month for retainer clients... without the retainer. So you can finally press send and LOVE your newsletter.
βFor DTC e-commerce founders, the offer is audio & press repurposing into written form on a monthly basis to double your impact without lifting a finger.
Check 'em out & lmk what you think!! <3
β
Alrightyyy, we have covered a LOT of groundwork in the last month.
And, hehe, depending on how closely you've been paying attention... you MIGHT have realized this was a DIY version of Dead Reckoning for Service Providers π€ͺ
Since the offer itself is done-with-you, it only seemed fair to walk you through the steps!!
If you HAVEN'T been doing the action tasks as they come up (which, fair, it's summertime!!), but knooooow you need the support & accountability to get that ish done soon... You're a perfect candidate for Dead Reckoningπ
Anywho, I promised last week we'd be taking email content a step further AND I'd be sharing a free resource with you that's not publicly available, and HERE SHE ISSSSS:
Yuuuup, I just gave you a YEAR of newsletter ideas. It's split into 4 content pillars: founder storytelling, product depth*, community conversations, and ethical conversions.
*if you don't sell any digital products, this can easily be swapped with services!
The feedback I had on this freebie was INCREDIBLE:
So I hope you love it just as much!! If you have any q's or "how do I related this story to this email topic?", my inbox is always open (:

Using surprising word pairings is one of my FAVORITE things about reading physical books.
When they pop up, my eyes are instantly ποΈ LOCKED ποΈ in. It's technically called an oxymoron (a figure of speech that deliberately pairs two contradictory or opposing words side-by-side).
Buuuuut I don't like the word 'moron' being squeezed in there, so I'll continue to call it 'surprising' instead.
Examples are:
Unhelpfully optimistic
Living dead
Awfully good
Pretty ugly
Alone together
Cruel kindnessβ
Your low-lift Creative Writing Challenge for the week:
Set a timer for 15 mins (to remove the part of your brain that's gonna try to be 'perfect'!) and write down 10-15 adjectives on the left side of your paper in a column.
If you wanna go faster, you can use this to generate adjectives sans AI.
Now come up with its antonym(s) and place those next to it. Try not to take more than 5 mins on this part of it!
Because the next step is to see how many of these oxymorons you can use in a short story! Keep in mind - the story doesn't even need to make logical sense.
Bounce around, play around, and see what comes up!
Remember: the goal isn't to be the BEST; it's to be CREATIVE, however that looks for you!
πΆ Currently listening to... Still A Court This Cruel & Lovely, but I have 2 other books (finally) ready from my library so it's taking every ounce of willpower to keep reading instead of switching gears xD
π‘ Currently recommending...Nil's Mediterranean!! Even tho the date I went on was one of the most awkward ones I've been on in a while, the food was INCREDIBLE!!! A 10/10 must-visit if you're ever in the area (:
π Currently obsessing over... Getting my content groove back?? Oddly enough?? Like who is sheeeee? This post sparked several convos. This one had my sister calling me 'LOSER!' on FaceTime. And this onemight look familiar, hehe.
And that's on that!
I've got a couple ideas on what we're gonna talk about for the rest of the summer in these weekly editions of email education, buuuut is there a certain sticky spot you're working through?
I ALWAYS prioritize email replies & what ya wanna learn more about before my own content ideas.
What I'm thinking will be next:
Expanding on my braindump + journalistic approach to email marketing (and how you can weave micro-storytelling into even highly designed DTC emails)
Workflows 101 and the email automations you neeeeeeed
Finding the balance between sales, launch, and nurture emails (and my thoughts on how many emails a day/week is 'too much')
But if there's something more pressing, I'm all ears (eyes?) π«‘
Catch ya on the next wave,
β

Edition #148 July 14th, 2026 Womp, womp, womp. 90% of the 4-part sales page for Dead Reckoning has been finished, but unfortunately, I underestimated how much time it was gonna take me to finish π But I am suuuuuper proud of how it's all coming together so far!! So here's a couple of my favorite lines: For e-comm founders: "The most successful e-commerce founders are often trapped in operational tasks and simply donβt have the time to build the personal brand authority they know they need to...
Hey, hi, hello! Reminder of this week's prompt in case you haven't done it yet: Grab a magazine. If you don't have one hanging around, grab a book instead (fantasy or fiction works best). Read through and cut out words that make you pause. Or hold...
